Museum Visits
National Building Museum: National Building Museum announced today that it will extend its Frank Lloyd Wright’s Southwestern Pennsylvania exhibition through Sunday, October 5, 2025. This exhibition is a journey into the famed architect’s mind, articulating—for the first time—his broader creative vision. Presenting both realized and unrealized projects Wright designed for the Southwest Pennsylvania region from the 1930s through the 1950s, the exhibition examines how Wright’s vision of the future might have impacted urban, suburban, and rural landscapes.
Marvin Bowser’s Black Hair at Mt Vernon Triangle Photo Walk: Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) has launched of Marvin Bowser’s BlackHair outdoor photo exhibit at the MVT Photo Walk located on the 400 block of K Street NW and Prather’s Alley. The installation is central to MVT CID's annual celebration of Black History Month. BlackHair uplifts and celebrates Black culture through the lens of Black hair and speaks to “Black joy, love, beauty, strength, resilience, expression, and fantasy.” More info here.
Tudor Place Tells Stories of Enslaved Individuals: Tudor Place Historic House & Garden is excited to announce its reopening to the public this week, following a month-long hiatus for essential maintenance and cleaning. As the only historic house in the District with direct ties to George and Martha Washington, Tudor Place offers a unique glimpse into America’s founding era, housing the largest collection of Washington-related objects outside of Mount Vernon. Bethesda Film Festival: Bethesda Film Festival is coming back to town. These films, and the filmmakers, will be at Landmark's Bethesda Row Cinema on Friday, April 4 and Saturday April 5 for the Bethesda Film Fest.
